Ernesto Catena had a vision to create a wine that was the ultimate expression of Argentine winemaking. What is more representative than a bold red wine made from Argentina’s three emblematic grapes, each from the best growing region for these varietals. This blend of Malbec, Bonarda, and Torrontes combines the different vineyard profiles of the famous Uco Valley (La Consulta), Eastern Mendoza (Rivadavia) and high-altitude Salta (Cafayate) into one remarkable well-integrated wine.

About The Label/Name
There are few wine brands that reflect the sensibilities of their owner more than Tikal. A skilled horseman, fashion designer, and modern photography gallery owner, Ernesto pursues all that gives pleasure in life. He has named his wines with passion in mind: Patriota (Patriot), Amorio (Love Affair), Jubilo (Rejoice), and now the latest addition Locura (Madness). Ernesto named this particular wine Locura since many believe it is “madness” that such unique and geographically diverse varietals could produce such a smooth, balanced, and serious wine. The original photography for the label was created by Ernesto's close friend and art photographer, Martin Gurfein.
